Who Might Like the DreamCloud
Back sleepers. The DreamCloud is a pretty good match for back sleepers, particularly back sleepers who weigh between 130 and 230 lb. Our average-weight tester felt great when they were on their back, as the mattress sank slightly below the surface, but their spine remained aligned.
Folks who run hot. Thanks to its hybrid construction and gel infusion, this mattress stayed pretty cool during testingdssw12d. This is great news if youโre a hot sleeper looking for a little bit of relief without having to crank the air conditioner.

The DLX Classic mattress is a hybrid bed with a mirrored design so that you can flip it as needed for durability (or fun!). It comes in three firmness settings, and we found the Medium model to be a great pick for back sleepers. Itโs got plenty of bounce, and a more โon-topโ feel. It may not be the best pick for some, especially if youโre concerned about motion isolation or looking for something super-soft.
Testing Highlights
Responsiveness. Our tester found that changing positions on the DLX Classic was virtually effortless. They didnโt feel trapped in this mattress despite the soft foam pillow top.
Edge Support. The DLX Classic should quash any concerns about getting in and out of bed for those with mobility issues. It was rock steady around the perimeter and should provide ample edge support.

I actually really like this on my back. There isnโt a deep contour, but I do notice some contouring around my lower back. Itโs not like a foam mattress, where it fully fills that area, but I do feel the contouring. Overall, it is a really good feeling, and my butt is sinking in nicely for good alignment. My butt feels great, and I donโt know if I have ever said that about a mattress.

Most side and back sleepers. The testers found that this bed provided top-tier pressure relief for side and back sleepers. Our average-weight tester gave it a perfect 5/5 for how it felt when they were on their back.
Folks who need stability to help getting in and out of bed. Although our tester cautioned that the โsank down a lotโ on the foot of the bed, they stated that sitting and lying along the sides was completely different. The Plank Firm is a very firm mattress (as the name implies) that is a great match for sleepers who need extra support, like stomach sleepers, back sleepers, and those weighing over 230 pounds. This flippable bed boasts two firmnesses in one: a more traditional firm side and an extra-firm one. The result is a super-sturdy, spine-aligning foam bed that'll satisfy shoppers let down by so-called "firm" mattresses.
Testing Highlights
Firmness. This bed is flippable, and we found both sides to be extremely firm. The extra-firm side is one of the firmest beds weโve tested.
Edge Support. We barely sank into the mattress at all when we were sitting and lying along the perimeter of the extra-firm side. This bed will provide security to anyone sitting or sleeping along the side.

The Plank Firm is absolutely one of the firmest beds weโve tested. It has a unique flip-flop design that offers ample support for a wide range of sleepers. Our mattress testers ranked the firm side of the Plank Firm an 8/10 on our firmness scale and the extra-firm side a 9/10.
The industry standard is 6.5/10, so this mattress is significantly firmer than your average bed. It creates a sturdy, flat sleeping surface with no loft for sleepers to sink into, making it ideal for folks with back pain who need a consistent, level surface for better support.
Fortunately, more firmness doesnโt mean more money. This mattress starts out at about $700. You also get a 120-night sleep trial with your purchase, so you can give this mattress a shot to better decide whether itโs worth the investment.
The Plankโs firmness feels better for back sleeping than side sleeping. I feel aligned in my spine, but I feel some slight pressure in the lower back. Itโs not a lotโin fact, I feel this is a much better fit for heavy back sleepers. This would be fine if youโre a heavy back sleeper and if you like extra-firm mattresses, even though itโs still a little firm for my taste.
