Now, let’s get into its impressive scores. Hot sleepers should take notice of the 5/5 score our testers gave the Evolution for its cooling abilities, which is a rare mark for a bed to achieve. This is likely due to multiple cooling features, such as an organic cotton cover, cooling foam, coils, and a heat gusset (the Evolution doesn’t hold back when looking out for hot sleepers). When our heavier tester rested on the Evolution, the heat gun only measured a temperature increase of 5 degrees, so all these features were proven to work. Furthermore, our tester, considered a heavyweight sleeper (270 lbs), found exceptional support when sleeping on his side or back, giving the Evolution a 4/5 for support. He wasn’t as supported when sleeping on his stomach, but suggested that likely lighter-weight stomach sleepers using the firmer model should find the support they need. Our same tester also sat on the edges of the Evolution and found it only sagged 3.5″, giving it a 4/5 for its edge support and deeming the mattress a good choice for seniors who need sturdier edges when getting in and out of bed. The mattress also had great motion isolation (4/5), which couples can appreciate. Overall, the Evolution had an average test score of 4.5/5, really impressing our sleep specialists.
