If you’re in the market for a new DreamCloud mattress but not sure where to start, you’ve come to the right place. In the seven years Mattress Clarity has been operating, our team of experts has tested more than 500 mattresses—including all the DreamCloud models—and helped more than 35,000 people find a new bed.
Today, I’ll explain where to buy a DreamCloud mattress, the differences between the brand’s different models, and whether you can test a DreamCloud in a store near you. (I’ll answer that one right away: you probably can!)
During our own mattress-testing process, we evaluated the DreamCloud beds’ performance in categories like pressure relief, cooling, edge support, motion isolation, and more.

How to Buy a DreamCloud Mattress
Whether you prefer online shopping or want a traditional, in-store shopping experience, DreamCloud has you covered. The bran’s mattress models are available for purchase via both shopping methods.
Online
If there isn’t a retail partner where you can test a DreamCloud mattress near your home, buying one online is simple. In fact, it’s probably the most common way people purchase these beds.
Some shoppers are hesitant to buy an online mattress after reading mattress reviews because they think they’re less likely to enjoy a bed they haven’t tried in person. However, DreamCloud understands this fear and combats it with a generous 365-night trial period. This means that you can return or exchange your mattress any time within a full year after delivery, so you have plenty of time to break it in and determine if it’s compatible with your sleep needs. You can buy a Dreamcloud through the brand’s website and a number of other online retailers, including Amazon.
DreamCloud is considered a bed-in-a-box brand, which is exactly what it sounds like—the mattress will arrive at your door compressed in a box. All you have to do is open it up and allow it to fully inflate. Shipping is always free within the contiguous United States, and delivery typically takes about a week. If you’re shipping to Hawaii or Alaska, there is an additional fee of $250
If you’re not interested in the bed-in-a-box method, DreamCloud offers white glove delivery for $199. If you choose this option, it includes setup of your new mattress and the removal of your old one.
In-Store
You can test a DreamCloud mattress at one of the thousands of authorized retail partner stores and showrooms near you. Even if you buy a DreamCloud at one of these stores, the mattress will still come compressed in a box unless you opt for the $199 white glove delivery.
Can You Test a DreamCloud Mattress in Person?
Absolutely. There are thousands of locations across the country where you can try a DreamCloud mattress in person. If you want to know who sells these beds and where the nearest store is, you can find a list of mattress store locations near you using the store locator feature on the DreamCloud website. Simply enter your city or zip code to find the nearest store. The locator will also show which mattresses are available to test, since not every store offers all of the DreamCloud mattress models.
Even when you buy in person, DreamCloud still provides its 365-night home trial and lifetime warranty.
DreamCloud Mattress Models
DreamCloud offers three mattresses: the DreamCloud Original, the DreamCloud Premier, and the DreamCloud Premier Rest. Each mattress is sold in both a memory foam and a hybrid mattress model, so you can choose the construction you prefer. We recommend the foam models to side sleepers, who will find a tad more sinkage and contouring around their shoulders and hips for optimal pressure relief. DreamCloud hybrid mattresses are excellent for promoting spinal alignment in back and stomach sleepers, and certain models are still soft enough for side sleeping.
DreamCloud
The DreamCloud is a hybrid mattress that offers great support for back sleepers and nice cooling for hot sleepers. Its mix of foam and coils ensures you get the right amount of support, while its breathable materials ensure you don’t sleep too hot. It is a bouncier mattress, and if you prefer more of a memory foam feel, consider the Nectar mattress. Learn more in our video review.
DreamCloud Premier
The DreamCloud Premier is a luxurious hybrid that gives you the feeling of sleeping in a nice hotel. Its combination of foam, coils, and cooling materials make it an ideal pick for both back sleepers and hot sleepers as well. At the same time, it is plush enough for the majority of side sleepers. However, if you sleep on your stomach, take a look at the firmer DreamCloud Luxury Hybrid mattress. Learn more in our video review.
DreamCloud Premier Rest
The DreamCloud Premier Rest is a medium-firm hybrid mattress that’s versatile enough to accommodate a wide range of sleepers. The plush pillow top and individually wrapped coils create a balanced feel that should appeal to back and side sleepers. Couples should appreciate the impressive motion isolation and responsiveness. See our full DreamCloud Premier Rest video review for additional information.

DreamCloud Mattress Policies
A new mattress is a major purchase, so reading all the fine print is important to ensure you’re completely informed. Below, I’ll break down DreamCloud’s most important company policies — shipping, delivery, returns, sleep trial, and warranty.
Shipping
Good news: All DreamCloud mattresses come with free shipping within the contiguous United States, whether you’re purchasing or returning. DreamCloud does ship to Alaska and Hawaii, but there’s an additional $250 charge. They do not offer international shipping, which includes U.S. territories.
Delivery
DreamCloud is a bed-in-a-box mattress brand, so your new mattress will arrive compressed in a box at your doorstep. When you open the box, the mattress will be wrapped tightly in plastic. All you need to do is open it up and wait for it to fully inflate, which can take up to 72 hours. If you notice a strong chemical scent, don’t worry. This is called off-gassing, and it’s typical for beds-in-a-box. The scent should fully dissipate once the mattress has fully inflated.
If you don’t want the bed-in-a-box experience, you can add DreamCloud’s White Glove Service to your order for an additional $199. This includes mattress setup and the removal of your old mattress.
Returns
DreamCloud mattresses are eligible for returns within the 365-night sleep trial period. Returns come at no additional cost, and DreamCloud will put you in touch with a concierge who will work with you to figure out the best way to remove the mattress. Exchanges are completed in the same manner, and you don’t need to keep any of the original packaging.
Sleep Trial
When you order a DreamCloud from the company website, you’ll get one of the best trial periods in the industry—a full 365 nights. If you decide over the course of one year that the DreamCloud mattress isn’t right for you, you can work with a DreamCloud Sleep Concierge to have it donated to a local organization or disposed of in your area.
Warranty
DreamCloud offers a limited lifetime warranty on its mattresses when they’re purchased from the company website or from an authorized retailer. This warranty is valid for the original purchaser of the mattress only and can’t be transferred. It protects you from certain defects in material or workmanship, such as visible indentations greater than 1.5 inches that aren’t the result of insufficient support foundations.
In the event of a covered defect in the first 10 years of ownership, DreamCloud will replace your mattress. After you’ve owned a DreamCloud for 10 years, the company reserves the right to repair or re-cover your mattress instead of replacing it. Make sure you keep your receipt when you buy your mattress—you’ll need it for any warranty claims.
FAQs
Are Dreamcloud mattresses available in stores?
Yes, DreamCloud mattresses are available in 4,000 mattress store locations in the United States.
How long will a DreamCloud mattress last?
We expect a DreamCloud mattress to last the standard 7-10 years. But because each mattress comes with a lifetime warranty, the brand expects it to last for quite some time—potentially even longer than that average lifespan.
Are DreamClouds better than Nectars?
We can’t confirm which mattress is “better,” because it’s completely dependent on the sleeper’s personal preference. However, we can say that both brands offer a 365-night sleep trial period and lifetime warranty. The Nectar mattresses also come in both hybrid and all-foam models, but don’t have the same quilted cover as the DreamClouds.
For more information on Nectar beds, read our guide on where to try and buy a nectar mattress.
How long does it take to get a DreamCloud mattress?
If you order a DreamCloud mattress from the company website, shipping times can vary depending on the type and size of mattress you choose. Once your mattress ships, it generally takes two to five business days to arrive.
Can I sleep on a DreamCloud mattress right away?
You can sleep on a DreamCloud mattress right after you open it, but you may want to wait. It can take up to 72 hours for a DreamCloud to fully expand.
How does the DreamCloud trial work?
Every DreamCloud mattress purchased on the company website comes with a 365-night home trial. That gives you plenty of time to test the mattress thoroughly. If you decide the mattress isn’t a good fit, contact DreamCloud to work with a sleep specialist for local donation and disposal, as well as a refund.
