You Might Like The TEMPUR-ProAdapt Series If …

  • You’re a back sleeper. There are two Medium comfort level options: Medium and Medium Hybrid. These tend to be the best fit for back sleepers. So if you sleep on your back, you can choose from an all-foam version or a combination of foam and coils.
  • You want pressure relief. TEMPUR-Pedic is known for its contouring memory foam layers. The ProAdapt is no exception. This line offers different combinations of technologically advanced foam to help support your body at all the main pressure points including shoulders, hips, back, and knees.
  • You want someone else to set it up. All mattresses come with free White Glove Delivery. This means the mattress will be delivered to your house, unboxed, and set up for you at no additional cost.

You Might Not Like The TEMPUR-ProAdapt Series If …

  • You prefer a traditional innerspring feel. All of the comfort levels in the ProAdapt series come with layers of conforming memory foam. While one option does have a coil system, it won’t feel the same as a more traditional innerspring-only mattress.
  • You sleep hot. Foam layers can make it difficult for mattresses to breathe. While new technologies and materials in all-foam mattresses work to combat this, it can still be too hot for some sleepers who are already prone to heat sensitivity.
  • You are on a tight budget. Prices in the ProAdapt series range from $2,499 for a Twin to $3, 699 for a King at full price. All Queen options (regardless of comfort level) will cost $2,999 at full price, which is more expensive than other mattress brands.

Common Praise

  • Several customers felt that the memory foam offered good contouring on their hips, shoulders, and back. “This has been the best sleep I’ve had in years! My lower back and shoulders don’t hurt in the morning,” wrote one customer in a review on the brand’s website.
  • Many customers liked the hybrid option and felt glad that they gave it a try. “My husband and I LOVE this bed! I was very hesitant about buying an adjustable bed let alone a hybrid but, this bed has turned me into a believer,” another customer wrote.

Common Complaints

  • Some customers felt that the mattress (even the softest version) was still too hard. Many said they were told it would soften over time, but they were not able to find a good comfort level. One customer wrote, “The mattress that we tested in the store was soft and comfortable. The mattress we received is like laying on a piece of plywood, and it’s been 2 months.”
  • A few customers reported sleeping very hot on their mattress. Solid memory foam mattresses can sleep hot, but many (like TEMPUR-Pedic) use new technology to try to keep their mattresses cool. “The memory foam also traps the heat so I’ve been waking up hot as well. This was never an issue with my traditional mattress,” a customer wrote in a review on the site.

90-Night Trial

The TEMPUR-ProAdapt mattress comes with a 90-night trial period. This means you get up to 90 nights to test the mattress out before deciding if you want to keep it.

The bed must have come from a TEMPUR-Pedic flagship store, the official online website, or be purchased by phone. The brand recommends you sleep on it for at least 30 nights before deciding.

If you decide the mattress is not a good fit, you must call 1-800-821-6621. A Customer Service representative will work with you to refund you and return the mattress.

Details You Should Know

The 90-night trial period excludes closeout mattresses, TEMPUR-Pedic power bases (all models), foundations, bed frames, pillows, cushions, linens, and accessories.

If you got your mattress with a free shipping offer, the cost of shipping may apply to you (around $175).

Warranty Details

The TEMPUR-ProAdapt comes with a 10-year limited warranty. Here is the exact language from the TEMPUR-Pedic website:

For 10 years after you purchase your new mattress or foundation from Tempur-Pedic or an authorized Tempur-Pedic Retailer, when it has a defect covered under the warranty, we will replace or repair it. This includes all parts of the mattress and foundation, and there’s no deductible.

You’ll need to keep your Proof of Purchase documents in a safe place, as you’ll need to refer to them when you file a claim. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Purchase receipt (copy). Required unless purchased directly from Tempur-Pedic and registered with the brand
  • Bed frame and foundation information. Are you using a metal frame, wooden side-rail bed, power base, or platform base?
  • Registry number and manufacturing date. This info should be located on the mattress law tag, underneath the zip cover on the mattress
  • Choice of retired model. If your current mattress is a retired model, they will provide you with an option most comparable in “feel” or the option to upgrade to the model of your choice for an additional fee

You can file a claim online or call 1-800-821-6621.
