Who Might Choose Coop Sleep Goods…

  • Those who prefer a fluffier feel.  The bamboo from rayon-derived soft knit cover and versatile adjustable filling that can be bunched up and/or fluffed in the dryer provides a more typical “fluffy pillow” feel, compared to the Bear’s more futuristic design.
  • Combination sleepers. Because sleepers can add or remove as much of the shredded foam filling as desired, it’s easy for back, side and stomach sleepers alike to find their perfect match with this clever pillow.

Who Might Choose Bear…

  • Hot sleepers.  At the heart of the Bear pillow is the need to help people sleep cooler. This is achieved in the Double Ice fabric and cool yarn in the cover to the ventilated foam filling, which promotes breathability. Mesh panels on the sides are introduced as well; all of these characteristics come together to make a moisture-wicking, athletic/performance feel that truly feels cool.
  • Back sleepers. The outer cover has a notable texture to it; it is not smooth and can be felt underneath more lightweight pillow covers (which tend to slip off the pillow as well due to the eclectic fabric choice). The foam filling also makes it firmer than a down or down alternative. This may make the pillow a good fit for back sleepers, especially if for those with sensitivity to textures.
  • Sleepers who want the pillow to keep its shape. The core is a solid piece of LOFT-X foam, it won’t change shape and its quick response barely allows it to fall flat for more than ten seconds. One’s head will sink into the pillow but once the individual lifts it up, the pillow will go back to its original shape.

Overall

I really enjoyed reviewing both these pillows and find their stand out features and benefits to suit different sleepers. When it comes to deciding between the two, it’s always wise to asses one’s own sleep priorities and go from there. Those who favor a pillow that is focused on softness, versatility and can be easily manipulated to fit even the pickiest of sleepers should opt for the Coop Sleep Goods pillow. If keeping cool all night is a major factor, and the resilience and bounce of a latex-foam is appealing for pressure-relief and head and neck support, check out the Bear pillow. Fortunately both pillows come with substantial trial periods so sleepers can enjoy familiarizing themselves with each – or both – pillows before making a final decision.
