Mattress and bedding company GhostBed recently announced the upcoming launch of their Venus Collection. The popular mattress brand is teaming up with tennis superstar Venus Williams for a line of high-performance mattresses. Now available for preorder, the Venus Williams Legend and Venus Williams Legend Hybrid mattresses feature proprietary materials designed to promote cooling and performance throughout the day.
On top, the mattress sports a Venus Performance Cover. This is a combination of cooling fibers and REPREVE®, a fiber made from 25% recycled water bottles. Below that is the Venus Layer, a 2” layer of gel memory foam infused with FIR (Far Infrared) minerals. These are designed to help you recover after a workout or just a tiring day at work.

For Williams, recovery is what these mattresses are all about. “Giving your body and mind time to rest and recover is more important now, than ever before,” Williams said in a release. “An invigorating night’s sleep has improved my performance, on and off the court,” she said.
The Venus Collection allows Williams to flex her design muscles as well. In 2002, she founded the interior design firm V Starr. Williams and her team at V Starr have had a strong hand in the design of the mattresses. In the near future, Venus Collection bedding and home furnishing products will exhibit even more of this V Starr flair.
